For the Quilter looking for Fabric Storage Boxes in which to organize their Stash, there are several great units available. One unit of six open faced boxes, each 10” H x 12” W x 15” D, offers easy access to your fabric allowing you to see colors and prints available for your use.

Another unit available that would be dandy for your Fat Quarter Stash is a 12-bin organizer contained in a hard board shelf unit. There are 12 clear storage bins complete with lids each measuring 4” H x 7 3/8” W x 13” D. The hard board shelf unit measures 19” H x 34” W x 13” D, for a nice compact component that will fit on most any surface where fabric storage boxes are needed.

These two units alone would make any seamstress be able to observe just what fabric she had on hand with which to work. It is always difficult to find the fabric you need when storage dose not allow you to see what is contained within the storage container.

Also available are Fabric Storage Boxes which are covered in quite pretty floral fabric. These fabric covered boxes have a zipper closing plus a Velcro flap closure and have a reinforced bottom. They look great sitting on a shelf anywhere they may be in use. The strap handles installed on these fabric storage boxes make them a good choice for easy transport for those who belong to a quilting or other sewing group.

If you are in the process of buying or selling a home there is one item that is often over looked until needed: plastic and corrugated storage boxes. They are a staple of every move and which ones to purchase will depend on your needs and the type of item to be stored.

It doesn’t really matter how much you pay, the idea is to get sturdy boxes with lids that will withstand lifting, stacking and not so careful hands carrying them. The large plastic storage boxes are great for large items as well as bulky items or storing comforters, pillows and linens. For bottles and glasses you may wish to chose the corrugated boxes with dividers to keep items safe from breakage.

Corrugated boxes range in thickness from general use and letter size to maximum strength as well as those made of recycled cardboard for the eco-friendly. For the quickest set-up you can chose the storage boxes that fold flat when not in use, then have an easy fast-fold for quick set-up.

Storage boxes can be purchased anywhere from the dollar stores to specialty box and shipping stores. Buying a variety of styles and sizes and stocking up when they are on sale may be worth it when you decide to start boxing up for the big move.
